Worldwide FM is a freeform internet radio service that highlights "underground music, culture and stories from around the globe."

I joined the station in 2016 as Social Media and Digital Content Producer, just months after launch, with the aim to unify digital strategy: defining TOV across website and social, exponentially growing engagement and followers, and directing visual identity.

Before long I moved from producer to manager, and over my 20 month tenure grew social following by over 300%.

How do you talk to a super savvy audience?

By riffing with them, of course. A simple engagement prompt turned into valuable space for conversation, and a neat playlist too.

 

How do you make the most of your content?

We cut hours of live stream footage into easy and digestible footage optimised for YouTube.

How do you put a face to the sound?

When I wasn’t crafting engaging social and web copy, I was behind the lens of the camera, capturing the photographic elements of the station.
